1. Definitions
Company refers to DP Electrical Specialists Limited. Client refers to the person or organisation requesting works. Works refers to all electrical and renewable services provided.
2. Quotations & Acceptance
Quotations are valid for 30 days. Acceptance (written, email, or verbal) forms a binding agreement. Additional works outside the original scope will be charged separately.
3. Pricing & Payment Terms
Prices are subject to VAT. Small works are payable on completion. Larger projects require 25% deposit, 50% on materials delivery, and 25% on completion. Late payments may incur interest.
4. Materials & Equipment
Materials remain the property of the Company until paid in full. Equivalent materials may be substituted if required. Client-supplied materials are not covered by warranty.
5. Programme & Delays
Start and completion dates are estimates. Delays may occur due to weather, suppliers, or site readiness. The Company is not liable for delays outside its control.
6. Access & Responsibilities
The Client must provide safe access. Delays caused by access issues may incur additional charges. Permissions are the Client’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
7. Compliance & Certification
All works comply with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations. Certification will be issued where applicable.
8. Variations
Changes requested by the Client may affect cost and timescales and must be agreed before proceeding.
9. Warranty
Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months. Manufacturer warranties apply. This excludes misuse or third-party interference.
10. Liability
The Company holds public liability insurance. Liability is limited to the contract value. The Company is not responsible for hidden defects or consequential losses.
11. Cancellations
Cancellations must be made in writing. Costs incurred will be chargeable. Deposits are non-refundable once materials are ordered.
12. Health & Safety
All work is carried out in accordance with UK regulations. Work may stop if unsafe conditions arise.
13. Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for delays due to events beyond its control.
14. Disputes
Disputes must be raised within 14 days. Both parties agree to attempt resolution before legal action.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
